Our story
How this began.
Hands of Compassion Pakistan did not begin with a plan. It began with a man who kept coming back.
Sean first came to Pakistan more than ten years ago and has been travelling back and forth ever since, long before there was any ministry here to bring him. He came again in February 2026, praying about what the Lord wanted of him in this city and waiting to be shown.
What he was shown was ordinary, and it kept repeating. He found himself sitting with believers who wanted someone to walk with them, and finding that nobody was. There was no shortage of interest in Christ. There was a shortage of anyone who stayed past the first conversation. So he began doing that himself, one person at a time, and the conversations did not stop.
Alongside that hunger he found brokenness, and more of it inside the church than outside — alcoholism, drug addiction, homes carrying more than anyone outside them knew. Sean was saved out of drug addiction himself, almost twelve years ago. He recognised what he was looking at, and he knew it was not the kind of thing a programme repairs.
What he became convinced of is what this ministry is built on: that these communities change when their men give themselves wholly to Christ and take up the leadership God has called them to. A man who is discipled disciples his family. A home that changes changes a street.
That conviction has become a work spreading across Karachi — home fellowships, regular teaching, outreach, believers walked with by name, and a school in development. The method has not changed since the first of those conversations, because the method is the point.

To reach people with the Gospel, ground them in Scripture, walk with them as they grow in Christ, and equip them to do the same for others.
What we believe
Where we stand.
Nothing here is novel. These are the convictions the church has held in common for a very long time, stated as briefly as we can manage.
- Scripture
- We believe the Bible is the word of God — inspired, trustworthy, and sufficient for what God intends us to know about himself and about how to live. We treat it as the final authority in matters of faith and conduct, and we teach it plainly rather than around it.
- God
- We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit: three persons, one being. He is holy, good and personal. He made all things, and he sustains them still.
- Jesus Christ
- We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, was crucified in our place, rose bodily from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. There is no other name by which anyone is saved.
- The Holy Spirit
- We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, gives new birth, and lives in every believer — assuring us that we belong to God, forming the character of Christ in us, and giving gifts for the building up of the church.
- Salvation
- We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It cannot be earned or bought. It is received through repentance and trust, and it produces a changed life — not because the change saves anyone, but because Christ does.
- The Church
- We believe the church is the body of Christ: everyone who trusts him, in every place and every century. It gathers to worship, to hear Scripture, to break bread and to pray. It is meant to be a family rather than an audience.
- The Great Commission
- We believe Christ commanded his people to go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them and teaching them to obey everything he commanded. We take that as an instruction to us, in this city — and we do not consider the task finished at the moment someone believes.
- The Return of Christ
- We believe Jesus Christ will return, visibly and in person, to judge the living and the dead and to make all things new. That hope is not an escape from the work. It is what makes the work worth doing.

Sean carries most of the discipling among the men, and the training of the believers who lead the fellowships. He has been coming to Pakistan for more than ten years.

Ghazala leads the ministry’s work among the women. She is married to Sean.
